About OkuMasa’s Shabu-shabu

Fresh-picked island vegetables from Yanbaru and carefully selected Ryukyu heritage Agu pork from Okinawa. This is a special shabu-shabu by Chef Arasaki (founder of the shabu-shabu restaurant ShabuMasa in Motobu). From citrus ponzu made with shikuwasa juice and roasted sesame sauce to the chef’s secret broth and even dessert—everything is house-made. The melting richness of Agu and the depth of seasonal local vegetables are elevated so you can experience the natural essence of the ingredients.

Precisely for you, we’d like you to try OkuMasa’s “Agu Shabu-Shabu.” Agu written in hiragana and agu written in katakana are different things.

Can we redefine your “most delicious moment” here? Can this shabu-shabu stand among the finest in the world? For that, we prepare carefully from early morning, add no unnecessary words, and listen to the ingredients. Island vegetables raised by Yanbaru’s land bring the seasons, and Agu’s sweetness ties the finish. Please savor the delicate flavors and the cycle of goodness that only Agu can express.


At OkuMasa, we do not accept mixed orders of the Shabu-Shabu Course and the Island Ingredients Omakase Course. Please enjoy one course per group.
There is no need to order a separate child’s menu, just share.
Private bookings are available. For lunchtime use or wedding after-parties, please feel free to contact us.

Lunch shabu-shabu is available with reservations made at least two days in advance. We do not accept mixed orders with the regular menu or à la carte.

Day 3 (departure): Deep breaths at a nearby beach, house-roasted coffee at OkuMasa. Carry Yanbaru’s aroma in the afterglow of your trip.

OkuMasa’s Western course is designed for sharing, with a flow that keeps conversation going.
Drinks are matched to the temperature of the dishes. Beverages with island fruits and herbs, awamori, and wines are chosen less as formal pairings and more in a sense of “breathing in time.”
We aim to fit your itinerary naturally—so that on the second night, choosing us feels effortless.

For small children and seniors, we adjust portions and ease of eating so everyone at the same table can be satisfied together. We do not accept mixed course orders or à la carte.
